    Griddle bottles?

What do you put in your griddle bottles? One will be water for cleaning. What oils or other fluids work best or you find youself reaching for when that griddle is working its magic?

Water for cleaning, plain old vegetable oil for general use, and if I were doing something like fried rice I'd probably switch to peanut oil.

Water for the cleaning. I use grape seed oil as it has a high smoke point and keeps the smoke down. I use my griddle a lot in the man cave/garage so if the doors are closed it can get smokey in there. I know I will be using it a lot out there this winter so I'm actually going to install a hood vent. We are remodeling our kitchen starting next week so I'm going to see if the one we currently have in the kitchen can be vented outside. Right now it's not. Have to see if it can be when it gets tore out otherwise I will buy a new one.

I've been using avocado oil more and more, really liking it.

I use it for pretty much everything. I love the warm, buttery taste. Unreal on a nice salmon fillet. cftarnas

Agreed on avocado oil. More neutral flavor and higher smoke point than EVOO or coconut oil but similarly unrefined or processed. Big bottles at Costco are reasonably priced. I’m all in.

I've been doing canola for most or virgin olive just cause I have it around, but maybe I should look into something fancier

You can get a huge 1 liter bottle of Avocado oil, from Costco for about $10. If you have one in Lubbock.

We do, but I'm a Sam's Club guy. Maybe I'll get my sister to pick one up for me. Thanks

I use 3 - 4 bottles. In one I keep heated Irish butter. Love how creamier it is, and you just need a bit...

It’s the favorite oil in my house. We use it for almost anything that needs fat in a pan.

I’m going to get 2. One for veggie oil and one for water. Depending on what I’m cooking that will be supplemented with:
            butter
            soy sauce
            worcestershire sauce
            dry vermouth
            lime juice

and possibly other stuff I can’t think of right now.
