Don't screw up, like I purty much did...

    Learner's Curve, doin better, now!

Oh, I didn't hurt th griddle, or seasonin, none... jus screwed up, some...

Wasted a purty goodly portion of Crisbee's, mainly...
An yeah, bacon will be th inaugural cook, natch...

          Pitchers:
I already had a purty good season goin on, with two coats of Flax Seed Oil; lightin is better here, vs t'other day, when th tree shadows was causin some issues:

See? Not too dang awful bad lookin, huh?

But, no...I jus wanted to git a few coats of Crisbee's/Larbees up on it...

Well, not knowin any better, after heatin up my griddle grill, I unceremoniously plopped a puck of Crisbee's right on th top, thinkin I could easily retrieve it, when enough had melted. Wrong Answer! It was nigh on half melted, when I was able to retrieve it...Dang It!

          Lesson learned...

I added a few more coats of Larbee's, coolin in between coats...

Too dark to see, now, but I'll git some more pics , tomorrow...

Sure can smell th difference, twixt Crisbee, an Larbee...

That looks like a darn nice seasoned surface to me Mr. Bones I've been tempted to get the Crisbee stuff but seems I'm getting a pretty nice surface just by cooking on my griddles.

It's a beauty! That's funny Mr Bones. I can see that easily happening. Lucky you were right there or you'd still be wiping it down.

I like Crisbee Pucks. I use them a lot on new stuff and after camping trips or over firepit cooking.

Had never used one, previous, was unaware of th phenomenal melt rate at these temps. YIKES!!!
All's well that ends well, as Bill once said; I recouped alla th excess, re-solidified Crisbee's from th lil grease catcher doohickey.
It'll be still git used fer CI seasonin...
                    Waste not, want not!
Note to self: Keep at least one spatula at th Blackstone, even when seasonin!!!!!
(Yup, I retrieved it bare handed.)
Don't try this, yall! (I gots Cook Hands...)
In retrospect, woulda been way quicker/easier, had I evolved into a tool-user, previous, like!

                    EdF Brother,
Funny ya should ask this, cause I had asked my dang self th same thing, lookin at th BS 36, afore comittin to buyin...

Found me a beerholder, an more, fer it:

Still cain't quite believe why they didn't attach a bottle opener, have been resistin sinkin a couple self-taps, but, talked myself down offa th Cliff; I normally am carryin 3 ~ 4 ways to open crimp top beers, so no urgent need to mutilate my cooker(s), especial since it would quickly rip outta th thin sheet metal, in this instance.

Couldn't I jus do nuts/bolts/lockwashers! Yup. Still would work its way loose.
                    Weld on, or weld nuts/bolts?

Again, yup. Doable. Surest way on earth to garnishee th castin would break, an I could further disfigure/mutilate my new cooker, repairin/replacin...

                      Nope, sorry, brother!
Blackstone sells a hard cover, (useful to prevent rain poolin marks on yer griddle, even under their soft cover.)
I happened to run across these online, an decided they were what I wanted, an could justify, bein's th griddle was $199/Free Ship, vs previous $399...

Sumpin bout th diamond plate jus appeals to my Inner Redneck, lol! (Outer, as well!)

HERE is th link to my diamond tread cover; same same folks make th accessory shelf I purchased, as well.
I am not affiliated with them, other than bein a satisfied customer.
