jfmorris Interested to hear what you think about the hot dogs. I didn't care for them at all. All the sausages I have had from there have a bit of a weird texture. And the flavor of the dogs wasn't what I want. It was better once you put condiments on it but by itself I wasn't a fan.

Good move on making your first cook for you and your wife a fast and surefire favorite. Be sure and emphasize to her the importance of getting good quality protein to speed her recovery.

JoeSousa yes I got the 10 pound pack of ground beef (10 x 1#), and a pack of the chili grind. Also some Osso Buco, pork bacon ends, a pack of dry aged hot dogs, and a half pork butt, to see how it compares to my Sams Club commodity pork butts. I hope it doesn't spoil me to where I can't go back!

I am thinking the first thing I will cook may be a 1 pound pack of the ground beef, to make a couple of burgers for the wife and me.

Hopefully you got some of the ground beef. Aside from grinding my own it is my favorite for making burgers. Great grind texture and flavor.
