Thanks Max. Of course, we think AR should dictate their development choices, but what do I know!

I'll let them know, but I imagine their market research dictates new product development.

So, I wrote to Weber asking about a 26" Performer. Here's their response. Can Max Good or someone else with influence talk to them, share our members' attempts?

Hello,
Greetings from Weber.
I understand your concern that you are looking to purchase a performer premium charcoal grill 26".
Currently, we only have this grill available in 22" but I will definitely pass your concern to our manufacturing team we will surely work on it.
If you have any other concerns feel free to contact us back.

Do you have any plans to make a 26" Performance? I am a member of Amazing Ribs, and folks are modifying stainless steel food service tables to insert their 26" Webers with legs removed. We all think there would be a significant market fora 26" on a cart. Thank you,

Dr. Pepper, heat has not been an issue at all. It gets warm, but not too hot to hold my hand on it.
-
Dr. Pepper, what I was getting at is that by using the lid to trace the circle, I ended up a little closer to the sides of the table top than I like, now that I look back on it. It still works fine, just not a lot of room to work with when attaching those mounting brackets.
-
Is there any problem with heat being transmitted from the kettle to the table?
-
Polarbear777 I just emailed SNS and asked them if they had any plans to manufacture 26". The answer: No.

Steve R. Below you mention leaving the 'sides' a little flatter. I'm considering a 26" Weber, and a cart and mods like you and the gang here have done. Can you sketch out what you mean by that? You already discussed using the lid to trace a circle. Thanks, Daniel

Strong work! You could probably make some money doing that. I'd buy one if available.
I see used stainless steel restaurant kitchen stuff on sale all the time, I just don't have the tools for that kind of project.

I attached the brackets to the kettle first, then set it in the hole to find the locations for the holes.

Same here. Just ground off the handle with the angle grinder.

Big Green Egg has directions for assembling the modules of their table which is made almost entirely out of 1x4s. Currently my plan to built a cart for my son’s 26†is to adjust the size of the modules and use the Unknown BBQ brackets to mount the 26†Weber. If the cost lumber is through the roof, I may default to Steve R. plan.

I cut my handle off with an angle grinder. I ground it down just short of being flush to the bowl, so as to not damage the porcelain any more than necessary.
