I’m still new to 2 zone cooking, but I’m finding the kettle 26 with slow n sear to be extremely versatile with really good capacity.

Meadow Creek PR 36, BBQ 42, or Weber Ranch Kettle.

I know it is over the price range but if you are willing to go a bit more then I don’t think anyone has mentioned Engelbrecht Baten yet. If I had the extra $ that is something I would be looking at.

        Timcee just posted this:

Also you might check out Meadow Creek. They have a couple that might work.

I would totally say get the Engelbrecht Braten 1000 if it was in your price range Old Glory

Just ordered a PK360 today. Should arrive Monday. The primary purpose of this grill is two one grilling. I have the Egg to smoke and I am getting the Humphrey's Queb'd Box very soon so my smoking requirements are met. The only thing I would consider is selling the Lrg BGE and upgrading to an XL BGE.

I'll be firing u the Egg tonight to cook some chicken thighs.

Very hard to beat the pk360 for straightforward two zone grilling. The rectangular shape seems to fit better the things I like to grill.

It smokes with the best of them, just not quite big enough to handle a 20lb packer brisket in one piece.

You will love the PK. I have Grill Grates for my 22" Kettle and they fit perfectly on the 360. I've used them for steak and was really happy with the sear.

You can get a 16-20lb brisket in there and it will do a great job. You just have to split to fit.

I grabbed one one of their littlemore grates and use it all the time for grilling and smoking.

How about Lone Star Grillz, 24x30 or 24 x 48 (A tad over your price) don't forget shipping will be $400~500. I have been on the fence for a few years about these. https://lonestargrillz.com/

I have been tempted to go with two 26" Webers - talk about dual zone! Home Depot has them for $299 currently.

I looked at them and M Grills. I thought they were expensive to start then add $600 shipping and that kills it.

Old Glory yeah 500 shipping is stiff. I am in Texas so I can just drive down there. I wish I remembered the fabricator but there was something similar in style that was outside of Texas.

Old Glory yah the shipping is a killer. I have looked and debated this for several years. It seems like you have to spend 2k or go with something like the Char-Broil CB940X. I'm thinking of drawing up what I want in CAD and getting bids from local fab shops at this point. Interested in what you decide to go with.

Well, I realize I’m a bit late to the game .... but here you go ..... in that price range, a Hasty-Bake Gourmet is what you want. I say this as a very proud and prejudiced Hasty-Bake owner. I’ve had mine for almost 10 years now. I have cooked just about anything you can think of on it. I cook 2-4 times a week. It ranges from burgers to chicken teriyaki to roast chicken to tri-tip to steak to SLC ribs to beef short ribs to all sorts of rotisserie items to brisket to 4 big pork butts at once and much more. This thing can cook anything. And the amount of food you can cook on it is amazing.

Here’s a few photos of different cooks to help you make the right choice ;-)

BriggsBBQ I've owned lots of other stuff. A couple of gassers, kettles, etc. I currently have a WSM and a Hasty-Bake. My only real complaint is that the firebox door needed some work to get it to seal nicely.

@ecopower I saw on Amazon the only big complaint was temperature control. Maybe sealing the side door would fix that. Seems like some Bge gaskets would do the trick.

BriggsBBQ I really don't have a temp control issue, but I did do some work to get a decent seal on the door. I also use snake and minion methods for my fire.

Oh, and this is what 4 big pork butts on the Hasty-Bake looks like

Hasty Bakes look great! I have Humphrey's Cabinet smoker coming (Queb'd Box Elite) so I really wanted a straight grill. Was very close to pulling the trigger on an M1 but they are very expensive. The PK360 isn't cheap but it will do what I need.

ecowper Good news! I just recently found a local Hasty-Bake dealer that has come to life in the past 6 months. I am hoping to take the wifey for a visit so she can get a better understanding of what I'm talking about.
