    Does anyone have the IR sear burner?

    Does anyone have Broil Kings 1700 degree IR side burner?
    I'm intrigued by the idea of adding this.... BUT both my cast iron ban on the current side burner, and my grillgrates will hit 500 degrees, and do a solid surface of crust......

    Wondering if anyone has this burner, and how useful it is, primarily on steaks.

      My wife says I'm not allowed to have anything that "shoots fire". She's already nervous about my blow torch usage.
