This is the M1 smoker firebox from my Veterans Day brisket cook.

Fired up the Yoder this morning at 5:30 for a brisket + pork butt cook for friends & family this evening.

Oak logs. A shot below at the coals, and above through the daisy wheel on my firebox door.

And not that this is a very sightly pic, but the ol' workhorse is chugging along in the 15* air by porch light. My messy bevy of cookers somewhat visible. Maybe you can't quite see it, but there's a new cooker in a box on a pallet waiting for me to have time to unbox it and do a review....

I really like the last photo, Huskee, with the smoke rolling in the early morning air and the snow all around. I admire your stick-to-it-iveness when it comes to traipsing out through the snow at 5am to fire up your smokers. Makes me cold just to think about it. Good thing we all know that the results are well worth the sacrifice.

      Have a great cook,

      Kathryn

I love tending the fire on my Watchman. You can spend a great evening poking small splits down it chute and cooking up whatever floats your boat.

            Spectacular shots, amigo!!!!

Not sure if this is the proper place for this. More tending the flame than feeding it. Mrs. Painter took this snap of me making smash burgers on my Primo. The Weber's undercover in the background. Alas, no pics of the burgers.

As suggested by HawkerXP The remnants of the fire for my pecan smoked wings...
Used the Vortex on my WSCGC...They always turn out great.
