My brother and sister in law have recently started selling Jamaican sauces, rubs, and pickled peppers online. My sister in law has parents that grew up in Jamaica and my brother in law grew up in Jamaica and moved to the US a couple years ago. They are both excellent cooks. Any of you in the DC area can order food from them, but anyone can order sauces, jerk rubs, and pickled peppers online. We ordered one of everything they offer and they are all great! One thing I've leaned about Jamaican jerk sauces, and I'm certainly no expert, is they can be different from region to region, city to city and even street to street.
We have Jamaican neighbors on two sides and they're jerks could not be more different.
My son brought home jerks from two Jamaican co-workers, again different.
At the end of the day each had they're own little quirks and nuances and I loved em all.
