You are correct. They are lots of fun! If you have a chance to attend one, they are a ton of fun talking to the cooks and sampling the food. I went to the Eggtopber fest in Atlanta in 2019, but there were too many cooks and people for my taste. Smaller ones with 20-40 cooks seem to work better. I don’t recall seeing one in. Alabama.

They provide the eggs to cook on, and you provide the food. But, even if you don’t cook they are fun to sample the food and talk with the cooks.
