    MCS only lets you think you've been cured. Tomorrow you'll wake up and realize you really need a Smobot for your new KJ.

      Thankfully I’ve already got a FireBoard and Pit viper. I honestly think I’ll be good for a bit once I get a grill table built.

      But I mean if I see a Weber master touch for $50 or something, obviously I’d get it. That’s an investment, really...

    I got a Big Joe about five years ago. I now have it, a large stick burner, a PK 360 and....... just ordered a custom reverse flow cabinet. I blame it all on the Big Joe!

      The one negative to this hobby is you can’t hide the collection. Unlike say firearms, my wife can’t tell one Glock or one AR from another. "I’ve always had" quite a few guns at this point.

      That Big Joe will eventually be mine one day, it’d look real nice sitting next to an M1 lol

    Yes, meet me here every day and I'll provide encouragement.

      I regret nothing about this purchase. KJ makes a sweet cooker.

      probably should find a better place for this, but for anyone that’s gone the ball valve route on Pit vipers. Don’t waste your money on the ceramic adapter from BBQ guru. A piece of sheet metal & a washer will lock the adaptor in nicely.

      ETA: sorry the pictures are out of order, it’s a pain to fix on the phone. First couple cooks were a success, the divide & conquer is a must have feature for me.

        I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but the photos are showing up as question marks on my computer.

        @tbob4

        I can’t get into my image hosting account so phone uploads is all I can do. I apologize

        You’re not missing much TBH. Picture two nicely cooked pieces of salmon on a cedar plank. And a piece of sheet metal with a threaded metal cylinder in it

        Good thing I didn't see this before going to Costco today or I would have bought the salmon, as well as the meat.

        What is all this to do about MCS & a cure & is there some sort of group to "help me over it" & yada, yada, yada. R E L A X ! Pull up a chair, sit back, NO, get off yer duff & git another cooker! Light a FIRE & cook, just cook. Don’t get over nuthin. It’s not called More Cooker Syndrome fer nuthin. The key is MORE. More food, more fire, more charcoal, more pellets, more cookers, more utensils & fer you sv’ers more water. Just do it & Fire over it, enjoy! 💪 🕶

          Pups know what burning charcoal means, I see him creeping over there!

          Yeah, now that I’ve cooked on it I can see why people get the Big Joe. The thickness of the ceramic makes it seem a lot bigger than it is. But I’m not feeding a bunch of people either so Classic is plenty for me at the moment.

          Yeah, like with the BGE, "large" is only 18” diameter. That’s actually medium, in the cooking diameter world as set by Weber et. al.
