It's a noticeable difference, like the metal may be one gauge thicker, but it's not MUCH heavier.

David Parrish, So the barrel is much heavier, David? I may have to check this out. If I keep this up, I will need to start that catering business!

Cool. I'm probably going to take my old PBC to the coast and use it there. The finish may not hold up so great there but I'm guessing I'll still get several more years out of it.

Before I go and order one I'd like to see how the new finish holds up and the overall opinion from folks that have it.
Well I haven't had mine long but my impression so far is that the finish will last much longer. It's also a heavier steel barrel (noticeably heavier).

well we've been looking for a while but honestly I am the picky one and i want my kitchen just right so 5 years before I find a kitchen I really like lol actually more like 2 or 3 months. I just want a kitchen with a way to vent the stove to the out side with out having to redo the whole kitchen the way kitchens are build around here the ovens are on a inside wall a a lot which would make that a pain. On the other hand It has been fun living in a hotel room with 6 people tho (sarcasim) but at least the room is free because its at the hotel i work at so rent free while we look is awesome.
When we get out of here im cooking ribs every night for a week, I went to a restaurant to get some ribs and man the sauce was good and that was it, does not compare to the stuff you cook at home.
Oh and I really want a shiny new pbc, maybe mine will be damaged while its in storage (evil grin) so I have an excuse to get the ungraded one.

I'm eyeing March for upgrade. I just won't have enough time at the moment. I don't want to have a PBC in a box, that would wreck havoc on my nerves.

Ugh that stinks Otis. How long before y'all move into the new place and you're back in business?

Man my all my grills are in storage till we buy a house, so looking at all these pics make me miss my pbc and Weber heck i would be happy with a little disposable charcoal grill from the grocery store right about now

Guest repliedMr. Parrish,
Would you consider posting some photos of your cooks on the Pit Barrell?
Thanks,
Sandy

Meathead David Parrish Any chance that someone could talk to Noah about doing an Amazing Ribs edition PBC. That would be epic. Just a big old picture of meathead on the side.
