2 Of the bnls. chicken breast that were recovered in the freezer diving coated with Simon & Garfunkel rub & wrapped in bacon.
Just placed on the OKJ bronco A basket of charcoal & 3 chunks of Mesquite. This is only the 2nd cook on it.
It was scheduled for delivery May 5th. but arrived on Monday so Just had to try it out, you all know how MCS is. Temp running around 237-240°F at the grill very stable for charcoal It got to 365 once after I opened it to take out the small breast, closed the vents a little & it went right back down. Next time I will use less charcoal I like this smoker more & more (I only got it because of the wright ups on here, see what you folks made me do (MCS)).
Before I moved south I got rid of my big pellet grill & 2 large charcoal units as I won't be cooking for 30 or 40 people any more It's just me & occasionally 1 or 2 more.
Small one was done early as expected. larger one took another18 min.
Don't know about the looks but it sure is tasty & not at all dry, these were skinless & they were for a party that for some reason never happened or I would not have them. I prefer legs thighs & wings myself. & I know there are 6 or 8 more of these in the freezer somewhere.
