Making Hot Southern Comfort Cider: NEED HELP!

Southern Comfort was my drink in college. I was introduced to it by watching Janis Joplin guzzle it from the bottle at a concert in West Palm Beach in 1969 a few weeks before Woodstock. With some cider and cinnamon, warm, it is the perfect cold weather drink.

im using this recipe, and it calls for 15” of cinnamon stick. Do I grind them up or what?? Please help. I’m attempting to make this now.

I would guess you toss then in whole.

I hope not. I already ground them up in the blender. I haven’t put them in the mix cause I’m having second thoughts.

I think the recipe would have called for ground cinnamon if that was the intent. Hope I'm wrong but often you will steep cinnamon sticks in liquid to impart flavor.

Well I only added a little bit of the grind. It was too late to do anything else. It was still chunky so maybe it will be ok. I wish the recipe had a little more detail on the method. I think it will turn out great though. Thanks for the help!!

        What’s a sugar tit?

Blackshirt BBQ A 'sugar tit' is an Ol Skool baby pacifier... same principle as a spice bag -
Wrap spices, etc. in a piece of clean, fine woven cloth, tie securely to prevent leakage...

I reckon it would be a 'Cinnamon Tit', in this case.

Great idea! Thank you! But it’s too late to try this time. I will remember that one though!
