        Wayne Gretzky Estates No 99
        Cabernet Merlot
        Nothing this red
Tasty, very light red, definitely a keeper
….and Bobby Orr was the greatest hockey player of my era, given the talent of recent players that's saying something IMHO.

Orr was a special player, but Gretzky was other worldly when he first came up.

Dewesq55 I used to have a license plate frame that read: Jesus saves - Gretzky rebounds, shoot & scores. LOL

surfdog In New England they used to say Jesus saves and Espo tips in the rebound.

One bourbon and one beer. Bulleit bourbon. I discovered this beer a few years ago while on vacation on the Oregon coast. Good stuff.

Honestly Attjack I have no idea. A couple friends and I were there and picked up a bottle...and quickly decided that it was worth getting more. LOL
Smooth enough to drink straight up. I've not tried the Blanco...will check that out next.

Craigar So far, so good. Though I've only had this and their vodka. That's become a staple.

surfdog Well I've always looked for Anejo or Reposado when I'm at Costco because the Blanco is good. I'll even sip that.

        Cheers

Well, another dry January in the books. It's Friday and did 30 days so I think I'm going to call it a win. I've been doing this for over 10 years now and I've been doing Sober October for 2. Now the question is wine or tequila?

Gotchya, beer and red wine here with the occasional shotta Bourbon.
          Agreed, the breaks are refreshing.
          ….easier on the wallet too.

I like beer too but I keep drinking less as I get older. These days if I drink very much beer I don't feel great. But if I drink very much tequila, well, I do feel great

I vote for tequila! I’m on call for one week, every five weeks, so that’s my affirmation that I don’t need to drink 😁

This was last evening's libation. My first time trying Four Roses, but it was my Old Grandad's favorite, even though I doubt the Old Crow would have sprung for the Single Barrel. However, I do take some small Southern Comfort knowing that back in those Early Times of an Ancient Age long ago that grandpa had the Everclear sense to enjoy such a repast. Needless to say it went down like Black Velvet, and though a little expensive, when I finish this bottle I'll bite the Bulleit and purchase another one.

            surfdog yes.

If you like double IPAs, this is a good one. The 8.5% ABV doesn't hurt. 🍺
