Old Forester Rye. Drinking from Yeti lowball with 3 cubes of ice. The initial swig is sweet, with some spice on the back end. Definitely vanilla and clove on the palate. Some heat to it makes it honest. Considering the price, I’d definitely buy again, $28 for a fifth. If your wanting a budget friendly rye, this should be on your list. Mash Bill is 65%rye, 20% malted barley and 15% corn.

            Been awhile but been there

Right now, coffee. Friday evening I was fortunate enough to be at the local brewery where a local association was having a party. They were a friendly outgoing bunch and I got to try Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23 year old Bourbon, Whistle Pig The Boss Hog Fourth Edition "The Black Prince IV," and The Yamazaki 12 year old Japanese single malt Scotch.

My favorite beer is finally back! It’s a rotating double IPA, 9% but seems stronger.

I guess it wasn’t quite my final post. I didn’t consider the replies.

Mine is always a Treat. Generally, one Guinness Bopper, when I git home, 1630, from work.
              Then, Supper Time...
Later, some weeknights, might crack a second Bopper, but typically not.
2100: One measure of Quality Bourbon(s) I often mix two, sipped /swished throughout an hour of TV.
2200: Beddie Bye Time, take a measure of Bourbon(s) to my headboard, consumed slowly as th first was, read Kindle, listen to OTR, or vintage music...

Homemade crude Old Fashioned: with Knob Creek, Quince & Apple tart cherry grenadine, cherry and pomegranate simple syrup grenadine, and an extra dose of bitters.

Tasty soundin bevvie, an great pic, Brother; mebbe even yer best, although I'd LOVE to see a full-res of th one in vintage Western gear...

I’m taking October off...he said optimistically on day 2. 😬😬😬

That said, for gin lovers see if you can find Harahorn. It’s from Norway and only JUST became available in NJ. I discovered it while in Copenhagen this summer and brought some back. Look for it. It’s really good. I know we’ve got a good Scandinavian contingent here, if you haven’t tried it, do yourself a favor and grab a bottle.
