Several years ago I made a deal with my wife: Skip the ties, chocolate, and boxers that plague Father’s Day gift lists…and just get me a nice bottle of scotch.

Its a deal that’s paid off handsomely in years past.

Currently I have about 1/3 of a bottle of each of my last two years gifts…Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year, and Glenlivet 18 year.

So this year I asked for a nice bourbon, since I have a decent scotch stash at the moment. Opening my gift today I discover one of my favorite bourbons…

That's a great bourbon, just finished a bottle with my brother in law last weekend. Not sure if you have already but try the Russell Reserve single barrel in the Wild Turkey family .
