I've had a few terrible headaches caused by brown liquor, but I never would have thought it would fix one.

      Great stuff!

Old Grandad 114 on the rocks. Great value bourbon at about $25 for a fifth.

First glass from a bottle of Highland Park Dark Origins Single Malt. A nice choice for those of us in the peat-friendly community.

Not quite sure what I think of this. I definitely get some of the "meaty" rub flavor in here. Very different!

Looks forward to seeing the results! Welcome!

The latest to my small collection of nice bourbons. Basil Hayden's. It has a nice rye essence, but is a bourbon (51%+ corn). I hate rye bread but I like rye whiskey.
Sweet, herbal (dare I say minty?) on the first taste, quick finish. And at 80 proof it's very smooth.

HouseHomey each trip to get groceries I grab a bottle of something (in MI any store can sell liquor, the mom & pop grocery stores & WalMart alike). Sip slowly, savor, don't "shoot" whiskey unless you're 19, buy the cheapest you can for mixing, save the good ones for sipping only. These tips are my suggestions for building a home bar and having more than 1/2 a single bottle at any given time.

HouseHomey also online sources are good too with flat rate shipping and no out-of-state tax. I like to use www.b-21.com. Flat rate shipping of $12, whether one bottle or a case. MI has state minimum pricing, so liquor prices here are set by the state, and then taxed. Buying online I can get around some of those higher fees & taxes. Helps to get an extra bottle or two to keep on hand.

I got it. I will buil mine.

              Thanks brother.

Huskee, you inspired me! Here’s a nice splash of local Wigle Straight rye. 100 proof and wonderfully sharp and peppery.
