So on the way home my wife says let’s stop at a Liquor store and get a bottle of wine. As we pull in she adds " Ooh I hope they are doing a wine tasting". I casually grumble " Nobody ever has a Bourbon Tasting". Well what a pleasant surprise as we walk into a Liquor store I haven’t been to in years and The Knob Creek distributor is there having a tasting! 3 Bottles of Whiskey, and 2 bottles of wine later here we are. FYI all had Rebates 15.00 for purchase of two. 7.00 for one.

Yeah I did some fast smoked cheese with it and it gets some flavor on it. But I think a proper cold smoking device that'll run unattended for a couple hours is the better option.

WHAT am I drinkin' right now? Well, what are YOU "buyin"? You get to decide!

Here's my bourbon, Scotch, moonshine cabinet. It's a couple bottles light right now, sorry, Not very impressive I know.

First person to "buy me a drink" by replying and telling me what I should be drinking of my avail choices is what I will be drinking. I'll supply proof. (Please, no mixtures, yuck)

    So????

How is that Glenlivet? Just picked up a bottle but have been working on some Lasanta. Love that stuff!

IrondeQuer The Nadurra olorosso cask is excellent, stronger than the Lasanta but has that sherry cask goodness. The Nadurra first fill oak is harsher.

Thanks Huskee! I think the Nadurra I have says it's 16 years old. I'm looking forward to it.

I would probably opt for a Blanton's neat.

The first mass-produced single-barrel bourbon, bottled by Master Distiller Elmer T Lee in 1984, gets its name from Colonel Albert Blanton. Colonel...

How can you not have something called climax? Obviously I'm a virgin to this finer side of drinking.

So I was at the BoozeMart today looking to buy my second bottle of Bourbon/whisky, ever. I so enjoyed the first bottle. So I was looking around without any personal knowledge and came across this one for $13.99. I said this must be th cheap junk! Then I thought to myself, Self "Why is this on the top shelf?" So I checked the other bottles.

"Shiver me timbers!" All the other bottles were marked $31.99 so guess what Homey did? Yup, grabbed it up and figured if it sucks im only out 14+tax. Guess what?

I think its delicuos, in my limited experience with this stuff of course.

    2.5 oz booze
    .05 oz sweet vermouth
    2 shakes of orange bitters

    FANFREEKINGTASTIC!!!!!

HouseHomey that is one of my favorites. You are stealing it @15.00! Save your Bitters, and Vermouth for Southern Comfort though, 4 roses needs no help except ice. It’s so good I usually recommend at least a Dozen Roses.
