      Oooooo... yeah......

A dram of Basil Hayden's. Quickly becoming one of my favorites! Special unique stuff tastes like a rye but is technically a bourbon.

Not a brand I would turn to, but the price was right, especially for Pennsylvania! Very floral on the nose and initial taste, with a bit of sharpness. I like it better with 1 cube of ice which tones it down slightly and brings out a subtle maple flavor. I would rate this somewhere between a drinker and a mixer. Definitely a good deal for the price.

Canadian Club is a very popular Canadian blended rye. Good choice!

I had never tried it but I certainly enjoyed it.

Something unique. A new one from our local distillery- Wigle’s Pennsylvania Malt Series, Winter Malt. Distilled from malted barley, malted rye and standard rye. Really unique flavor a bit winey, a bit of scotch smokiness...very complex!

      Cheers back atcha, Holmes!
Always have y'all on my mind, an' in my heart!
Gimme holler when ya can, been too long!
Yeah, I'll be smokin' plenty bird this week, ya' could safely say...

texastweeterPsinderson this trunk belonged to Grandpa on my wife's side who was at Pearl Harbor on the USS Castor. The big story from grandpa was "why did they bomb us? Didn't they see our flag? We were only carrying pinapples."

grandpa lived until 2011 to 96 Years old and was a Salty old Dog!! We bought our house from the familiy trust which was his house and my wife grew up in. So long as I'm alive this trunk will bless this living room and all the kids and family who walk by, sit next or even sit on or stare it it. This trunk will not leave this house so long as I'm alive in it.

Thank you you very much for asking and noticing the trunk. I have never served but have an appreciation for those who have. Service runs deep on both sides of my family from Pearl Harbor, Vietnam and Iraq. Army, Navy and Mariens!

the kids love this trunk. It now houses their board games and such. Papa added wheels and it now rolls.

    Thanks again for asking.

    Erik

Mr. Bones , ah… a little outside of my price range. But, I’m in St. Marys visiting my 6-boys. One of them turned 24 today and the group decided it was worth it on the split bill, so to speak. Great scotch! SWMBO even liked it!

I went back for another bottle of the 2007 and it was gone. I should have thought of it sooner. I think was marked down to $15.99 when I bought it.

Probably not a Scotch Drinkers first choice, but I like Dewars. I have not tried the Twelve Year. This one was on Sale too! I also wanted Stella to help me Cook tomorrow.

I like Dewar's. It's probably the Budweiser or Jim Beam of Scotch, but it ain't bad in my book! Now the Stella- that's some great beer!

The turkey is happily dry brining for my late morning cook so Here’s something to help prepare for the Thanksgiving mayhem- JP Wiser’s Triple Barrel Rye. Really impressed with this one. Plenty of rye assertiveness but I also get a hint of the corn minority. What a great value at $19.99!
