Mr. Bones I can't find my brewing notes so I don't know what the ABV is, but it is up there lol. At nice stout serving temp (around 55 degrees) I get notes of coffee and dark chocolate with a nice warm finish.

This batch is going to be here for a bit because I am the only stout drinker in my family. Going to have to get the neighbors involved for keg management

That reminds of my honeymoon. We're from up north where there's no WHs. On our H-moon, one of our hotels enroute to/from Key West had a WH next door, and the sign was burnt out showing only Waf Hou. Wife & I to this day still say Waffle House with a strong Chinese accent, "Waf Hou!"

Homemade whiskey sour. 50/50 Bird Dog 10yr bourbon & Knob Creek, homemade simple syrup and hand-juiced lemons.

I may have to do this one time. I don't even like ice in my whisky or my whiskey.

I'm with you AverageJoe it's very rare that I add ice, usually only a mixed drink/cocktail

If anyone cares, a proper whiskey sour is:
            4 parts whiskey
            2 parts fresh lemon juice
            1 part simple syrup
            frothed egg whites (optional)

I always remembered it as 2-1-1/2 which is the same ratio as yours (in oz usually) but easy for me to remember after I’ve had a few. LOL
