Lol. The V has become a favorite here. But I prefer Pilsner and IPA. I like trying many brewers. Well I also did just buy a trippel from Copperhead Brewery in Tampa.

If / when I stray from my beloved Guinness Extra Stout, (which seldom happens), I've found these local beers to be tasty, on a hot Summer day:

      Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat
      Free State Ad Astra Ale
      Free State Copperhead

Mr. Bones we are fortunate to have Boulevard and Free State so close. I like the Ad Astra Ale too. I love IPAs and Boulevard's The Calling is one of my favorites.

I have to agree about Guiness Extra Stout. Surly Darkness is my "on occasion" since it is a bit strong.

Still learning about the German lagers. I've got a nice German beer place I go to that's converted me. But those mexican style dark lagers are great too. We have a huge beer culture here and the local breweries are starting to do their own versions lately.

All of the above are tasty, but I got back from a few hours on a pontoon a little while ago, and that ice cold Land Shark went down real nice.

Otherwise (putting my flame-proof jacket on...) a Coors Light is my beer of choice in hot weather, when those mountains turn blue. . Nice and light for those long afternoons by the smoker.

I know what you mean - my neighbor brews his own stuff and it is really good, but when it gets hot out I actually don’t want a super IPA or something heavy. Give me a Miller High Life or a Silver Bullet so I can stay standing for the day! He still gets mad at me, though!

Thanks, I'll look for it.. Even if it's not on the shelf, the store I frequently patronize can go to their distributor. They might be able to get it via special order.

Thanks ecowper . We generally don't see too many CA micros around here, but I'll keep my eyes open.

I was influenced by my former living arrangements in Silicon Valley. But if from WA, then it's going to be even more rare!
