We all lose Danjohnston949 , even if we were to never go there. If there were more BBQ and less of many other things too numerable to mention, the world would be a kinder place.

Whew, I thought another one had caught fire.

I can attest to property taxes that for sure. Wrote a check yesterday.

Trust me the owner wants a change of life style, it’s not about drooping sales. The bbq biz is 24-7, it’s tough and demanding baby sitting those cookers. Plenty of cue all over south-central Texas...

Exactly. It's not an easy grind and there are a million competitors in central texas. that said, used to go to Ruby's on occasion during my UT years... good place.

Good for her. She ran a solid business and she is moving on. She doesn't seem to think the fight is worth it. So she is closing up shop. She probably gave the people of Austin a great place to hang out and enjoy some BBQ for all those years. Cheers to Ruby's!

I can only imagine the amount of work that goes into running a bbq joint for 30 years. The woman deserves a break :-)
