I have to travel to Philly next week. I am not at all familiar with the city. I will be staying around the center city area but willing to travel a bit. Any good joints I can check out? Thanks!

I don't know about BBQ, but I hear that it's the best place to get Philly cheese steak. -

Mike's BBQ in South Phila is the spot.
South Philly Barbacoa just won a James Beard award.
Hit the reading terminal market for general awesome food. DiBruno Brothers for cheese. John's Roast Pork is an essential stop.
Phila is a great food town.
