            Well I am completely new to the world of smoked meats so i don't have much to suggest. I have smoked ribs on my buffet, in Muscatine Iowa, at my business A Guy and A Grill and would love to have you try us out and give an opinion. We are open 11-2 for lunch if that helps.

            Davenport has ZERO in the way of BBQ (other than chain restaurants like Famous Dave's etc).

          In Des Moines on N. 2nd Ave, immediately north of 35/80 and next to the Harley dealer is Smokey D's . Very good eats there.

            I've heard only good things about that place. Unfortunately, living in Davenport, I don't get out to DM too often. Have only eaten at Jethro's, which is good. Brisket was a little dry for me. The jalapeno cream corn is phenomenal.

          D&K BBQ house in Waterloo has good ribs and pulled pork. Cash only though.
