Just across the state line from Lansing (about 3/4 mi east down Ridge Road) is a wonderful little BBQ restaurant that serves plenty of delicious smoked foods. They stay open until they sell out, which usually means they close their doors by 6 pm on weekends. Their pulled pork sandwiches are served on soft, chewy pretzel buns that are basically an extension of the pork's natural soft/chewy texture. Many items on their menu are worth trying, but I found their sauces to be disappointing - mostly just sugary/syrupy. They have a bin for mustard BBQ sauce which is always empty. I'm guessing no one used it so they stopped making it. They also serve beer. Be ready to stand in line a good 15-20 min during peak hours.
