I've been a big fan of Heaven Made Products' seasonings & rubs for years. They are low-salt, low MSG, and they're gluten-, soy- and egg-free, but HIGH umami, and this makes them a unique addition to the saturated rubs & seasonings market. I'm excited to able to announce that the good folks over there have offered us our own members-only coupon code to receive 10% off any orders of any size.

Use coupon code AR10 at checkout. Valid for repeat orders. Free shipping on orders $100+

In addition to this, every month we will include a selection as part of the Third Prize package in our monthly Great Giveaway Sweepstakes. The winner will also receive a 4-pack of 16oz shakers of their most popular seasonings: It's Incredible, Amazin' Cajun, Texas Best Rib Rub, and Texas Best Brisket Rub; a $60 value, shipped free for the Third Place winner!

My personal favorite rub of theirs is Amazin Cajun. I use it on literally EVERYTHING that you'd put seasoning on: morning eggs, salad, veggies, fish, steak, chicken, pork, fries, mashed/baked taters. It's just GOOD stuff. It can be a little spicy if used heavily. Next I love their Blackened seasoning; same deal, I use it on nearly everything but it's a touch spicier yet that Amazin Cajun.

Update: HMP now offers two amazing new seasonings:
    1. Wimpy Cajun (Amazin' Cajun w/o cayenne) and
    2. Nu Bay (a newer, nicer, better version of classic seafood seasoning Old Bay) not limited to seafood, try it on pork chops and burgers too! Yum.

As of March 2021 HMP doesn't list either of those on their site, but if you want to try them, Michael the owner told me to simply order something and in the comments say you want either of those instead of the one you ordered. They are hoping to get their site updated once they get the new labels created.

Just ordered a couple jars. Where I'll find room to store them is a whole other deal.

Good problem to have I suppose. I'm in the same boat, cupboards full, spice drawer full, etc.

Well it isn't just me. My wife is complaining about how much space I am taking up. Man cannot have enough spices.

I love the Heaven Made too. My favorites are the Blazin Cajun and Flamin Cajun. But I just replenished my stock.
Huskee how long is this promotion good for?

If you're sensitive to MSG, you should check the ingredients before using. Their FAQ says they use very little MSG, but for those who are sensitive, even a little can cause adverse reactions.

Has Meathead ever done a myth buster on MSG? I have read articles claiming both good and bad. Would like to hear it from the bbq pros

Not extensively, but he has written a paragraph on it in which he notes the lack of peer-reviewed evidence in either direction, only anecdotal: https://amazingribs.com/more-techniq...ecue-lingo#msg

Dr Blonder has written on its diffusion (as compared to salt) but not on it health, down toward the bottom of this article: https://genuineideas.com/ArticlesIndex/diffusion.html

Regarding MSG, My thoughts are with 1.2 billion people can’t be that off. Then again....... but that’s for another time. Also, msg has been around approx 100 yrs.

                      Update:

Heaven Made Products (one of my personal faves) has a new version of an "old" classic - Old Bay. Heaven Made Products' version is less salty and less harsh, and uses their high-umami proprietary "flavor base". I got with Michael the owner while developing a couple custom blends and asked him if he could make this, and he delivered. And it's awesome!

If anyone is interested in purchasing "Nu Bay", it is not currently listed on their website yet. But never fear, here's what Michael tells me:

"I can sell it to [them], all [they have] to do is buy any size seasoning on my website & at checkout in the comments section say that he wants to swap it with NuBay and we'll send it to [them]....I don't have a colorful label yet but I have black n white labels."
I recommend you try it if you like Old Bay at all. It is far better in my personal opinion. It is also outstanding on pork chops, chicken, and burgers too, not limited to fish and shrimp.

Don't forget to use the PMC Member discount in the top post, and tell 'em Huskee sent ya!

tamidw Sweet Salvation is ideal for huli huli chicken. I just tasted some of it, and I taste onion, garlic, possibly a little cumin, something with a kick (maybe a tiny touch of cayenne?) and lots of sugar. I think it might be a good rib rub too. When I've cooked with it it comes out more sweet than spicy.

The amazing Karubecue is the most innovative smoker in the world. The quality of meat from this machine is astonishing.
