Digital version of this book is currently $3.99 on Amazon. I haven't gotten around to reading it yet even though I bought a hard copy a few months ago (it's next on my list after I finish The Food Lab), but I've seen it recommended in the Pit before so I thought I'd pass it along.

Definitely can’t imagine using a kindle for it but the kindle app for phone or iPad is pretty great with full size color charts, photos, etc. Frankiln’s books look great on it.

I read my kindle as I lie in bed, headin fer sleep, try to put th knowledge in my brain.
Despite th many, many cookbooks I have on it, have never once had it in th kitchen, usin it as a cookbook. It lives on my headboard.
If I git stumped, I walk into th other room, an check it out, fer a minute...Last edited by Mr. Bones; June 11, 2020, 07:11 AM.

My Kindle Paperwhite it is pretty useless as anything other than reading but it's usually how I read things. The iPad adds some pretty good functionality. As for using it for recipes I'm not overly concerned personally as I'm really more interested in the theories. If something looks good enough to try I'll write it down but I would tend to agree that a pure recipe based cookbook digitally isn't very appealing
