    Costco: Charcoal & NY strips whole loin

    Walked thru the local Costco at lunch:

    Cowboy Hardwood Lump: $20 / 34 pounds
    Kingsford Pro $14 / 2 x 18 pound bags
    Whole Strip Loin, Prime $10 / pound

        Lol...did nearly the same thing a couple days ago Saw the charcoal and the strips. Why I even stopped and got a $1.50 hot dog !!!

        We can tell the 4th of July is coming with all the good food/cooking sales. Good times to be had.

          Skip Yes the fourth of Joo-lye has some sales. I must say I’m disappointed with ours here. I may buy choice rib roast at 5 bucks lbs or boneless for a little more.

          I think i may may be getting a little tired of beef for a minute.

          thinking of Costco and that strip loin though. I don’t care much for that kingsford Pro.

            10$ a pound, prime, sheesh! I need to get one and put it away for Christmas Dinner. I still kick myself for not buying that Costco whole strip loin roast I saw two years ago. It was Prime and the marbleing was sooooo even and abundant. . . For the price, it could not be beaten, I mean it was boneless and trimmed perfectly, virtually no waste.

                I was in there today. The prime strip loin... Meh... looked like the choice I buy.

                I did did buy a pork belly, easy up tent for $100.00 and copper river salmon.

                  If you had seen that strip loin roast, you woulda bought that thing in a heartbeat for 10$/lb. <kicking self for NOT buying it then!>
