    Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-less Turkey Fryer - 22% Off

For those who want a fried turkey but who don't want to wind up on the local news and splashed all over social media. :-)

    Great idea.
One of the reasons I don't deep fry turkey, the oil throws my stomach for a loop, and people have burned down two houses around me in the past few years using fryers in the garage . Our houses are so closed together it wouldn't take much to take down a neighbor or two.
Walking the dog two weeks ago someone had a real good blaze going in his garage, he managed to snuff it out but it sure looked like it was real close to going the other way.

Until I gave it away recently, we had the Big Easy smoker, roaster, grill... same as this thing but a bit bigger and you could add wood chips.

Anyway, it works great. Sadly the basket is a bit cheap. I contemplated just using a turkey hanger instead, but then had a friend needing a cooker so I gave it to him in exchange for some beer. (home made stuff, it wasn't like going to the pawn shop for bud light)

The Big Easy will set the sweet crust on a double smoked spiral cut ham in about 10 minutes. It is an awesome outdoor cooking appliance. Especially at the price point.

          Infrared roasting is not frying.

My wife bought one of those ornamental fireplaces with the blue glass rocks for the lake. It runs on propane maybe I should replace it with the Easy Fryer instead!

Nice, I almost want one. Truly if I was into fried turkey this would be it.
              Thanks for the heads up
Happy BBQ to you and PBR too.

I have had one of these for probably around 8 years now as I found a new one for under $100. If you go into it knowing it is not truly a fryer, it is more than worth the money. Not many cookers where you can get instant radiant heat all around your meat of choice. This thing does a great (and fast) job on whole chickens, wings, roasts, etc. it comes in very handy and is an excellent way to put a crust on some ham or re-establish bark in minutes.

edit: I have never and will never do a turkey in it. Spatchcocked and smoked is the way to go. Though I have often crisped up chicken in it.
