Friday will be another milestone for Operation BBQ Relief. We will be serving our first international meals and doing so in the Bahamas. Our advanced scout team landed in Freeport Grand Bahama yesterday and they are working with the local government and churches to finalize the plan for delivering our meals to feed those in need of a nourishing hot meal. While they scout team is in Grand Bahamas the main team is setting up our site in Fort Lauderdale.
Tonight, the team will start cooking so we can airlift our first meals on Friday. The next 3 days we will be doing approximately 5000 meals each day on smaller planes. We will have our larger plane "Miss Montana" a WWII era mid sized cargo plane Monday. She will be able to take about 15,000 meals per flight.
