Operation BBQ deploys to Maui

I'm spreading this link and the one to the Hawai'i Community Foundation far and wide. Our family had an epic family vacation in Kihei in 1979, after my Dad had retired from Hughes Aircraft and got a giant payout on all the vacation and sick time he never took. Funded the whole family (at that time, it's a lot bigger now!) to spend a month there. We are all so grateful we got to have that experience.

Thank you Dave for posting this, and to all who give. Their presence will make so many happy with a good meal in them because food has been scarce everywhere in West Maui and they are also reminded on ever street of what they have lost.

Friends, Operation BBQ has just announced they're deploying to Maui to support the victims of the tragic wildfires that destroyed Lahaina and surrounding areas. Clearly this will be a more expensive undertaking than their ops on the mainland. Let's get them some great support like only the Pit can do! Here's the direct link to their donation page.
