    A quick tip on filling vacuum bags

    I use a 1 qt plastic soup container with the bottom cut off to fill the bags:

    You cann use the smaller container, but the longer one keeps more of the inside of the bag clean.

          This is a great idea! Probably better than my method of rolling the top down a few inches.

                I use a paper plate folded, since I’m usually using that on a scale anyway, but I can see this working better in most cases.

                  We do the same, great in the fall when we process our tomatoes into sauce. The liquid block bags work pretty good too, not perfect.

                          I use those plastic tumblers that usually have logos on them. Bottom cut out and split down the side for small bags. They can flex and fit accordingly . The unsplit tumblers I use for liquids.
