        So it can get to a useful 450-500F without a fan, but that’s pretty much it.

          Opening the upper right (all vents wide open) nets you an additional 50-60F.

              What I learned from all of your test graphs is that I should be using 1 probe to monitor the outside temperature. For some reason I've never thought of that. Brilliant!

                Thanks for the Info! Question: ...Do your graphs on the second thread corrospond to your comment on the first thread where you note that you used 3 full chimneys?? (seems to be a lot!).
                I guess my biggest take away with the issue I was having is that, in my old Kamado I never needed even a full chimney to get temps in the 4 to 5 hundred degree range!
                My conclusion: Still doubtful I'll get the fan controller, but I'm going to get the basket from The Burn Shop and that will help a lot!
