Newbie to electronics but could use some help for fan control
Hi,
In an effort to keep my BBQ area fully DIY, I am looking at running one of these to kick start a fan when i start my charcoal.
Basically im building a chimney starter and will have one of these probes in it, the fan will go till it reaches 90degree C and then stop and which time the charcoal should be alight.
I just use a Weber chimney when it is ashed over it is ready. The temps in a chimney going full bore is well above your 90degree Celsius. The Weber is like 15.00
Equipment:
'88 Vintage Fire Magic gasser with over 4000 cooks to its credit
Large Big Green Egg
18 Inch Weber Kettle (Rescued from neighbor's trash)
Rotisserie for 18 inch kettle
Dyna Glo propane smoker
Pit Barrel Cooker
Smokey Joe with mini WSM mod
Garcima paella burner
Anova Sous Vide
Slaiya Sous Vide (gift)
LEM grinder, sausage stuffer and meat slicer (all gifts)
I also think it will be hard to figure out where to have your temperature probe to get consistent results - and keep in mind big variables such as breeze strength.
It should work - but still, why? I hate having to depend on electricity. Man, Fire, Good.
