    Party Q calibration

I have a Party Q for my 22" Weber Performer. It has been used maybe 12 times since I purchase it over a year ago.
Worked great until recently when the temp on the unit is 10-12 degrees higher than my Maverick 372 pit thermometer.
I followed the calibration procedure and checked it against the Maverick and Thermopop. Works great until next cook, then it is off again. I replaced the temp probe, but problem persists.

    Any ideas?

I was going to say that you should replace the probe or dry it out in an oven. Since you have already replaced them, I would check with Party Q and see what they have to say. It sounds like an internal issue.

Or you may be spring the probe in a moist environment, but I assume these probes are water proof........but maybe not.

My partyQ always seemed to drift low. I was running about 25-30 F cooler than I would set. Maybe it was probe placement but it would be nice if the calibration was user adjustable. Maybe it is and we just don’t know how. I admit I never read the manual.

Probes are not waterproof so I wipe them with damp cloth after use and store in kitchen drawer. The manual does not contain the calibration procedure. I got it from BBQ Guru. I guess I will contact them. This product is a excellent idea, but execution seems to be lacking. At $160 I expect it to perform better.
