    Quick question about the digiq.

How fragile are the digiq dx2's?
    Do they hate water ?

Iys well made, so,it's not fragile, but it's not water resistant. It's pretty easy to slip a ziplock over it to keep it dry though.

Yeah actually thought about that last night. It's arriving today so I thought I would ask anyways. .

Ziplock is my friend too! With my Thermoworks ChefAlarms/DOTs, I also lay a piece of thick cloth (or my welders gloves) over the displays so the hot sun doesn't overheat the screen as I previously had the screens go blank until they cooled off. I also do this for my PartyQ.

MagWarrior, Normally I just leave the Control on its Quick Attach Magnetic Mount sitting on the Wire Shelf on the side of my Grill and the Fan in place! I wrap the Power Cords up as best I can and cover the whole Shebang with the Grill Cover! To date I haven't been caught in a Gully Washer or Extreme Heat so? I always store the Probes in a Zip-Loc Box in the house! Eat Well and Prosper! From Fargo ND, Dan

Now that I hadn't thought about but I would have eventually. My smoker is on the north side of my house so it will get direct sun until about 1 p.m or so.. thanx

I've done the gallon ziplock too, works pretty darn good. The nice thing about the digiq is that fan can get wet. The other thing you can do, which I also built (but more for my pitmaster iq's) is the following:

This will keep everything high and dry
