    Kitchen Aid On-Off Knob

Or whatever you call it….. the little knob on the slider (power 1-10) split straight in half! Super Glue or Gorilla Glue to the rescue? Granted, I have had this machine since about 2001-2002. Which is a heckuva story and a sweet story all in one. Pic of the "split" side.

haha, I thought Darth Vader before I even read below the pic. Any idea what it's made of? Super glue or Gorilla Glue may or may not work with a lot of plastics.

J-B Weld. If that doesn't work, buy a new one.

Whatever you decide to use, make sure you clean the pieces well so that there is no grease or oil left.

J-B Weld or epoxy would be my vote.

Two part epoxy would be my go to.

So BF ended up using super glue (before I had a chance to check back on recommendations). Then realized it probably broker because the lever was sticking/slow moving/stiff. And now he took it apart……🔧⚙️🤦🏼‍♀️

RichieB boy oh boy, not in this house! He was determined! I will say, though. The mixer has not only a repaired knob, but a nice internal detail job. Speed slider is smooth as ice and no more "squeaky" noise from the inside. We even tightened up another bolt thingy that Stella Parks was discussing earlier in SE.

Yes, that does nix MCS regarding a mixer….. but I did get that Vitamix the other week. Used it twice now. It’s a freakin beast!
