I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a SV recipe calling for temps above 200* .....

      I pronounce it "Sioux V"

Just to be on the safe side: If it's a French word, I drop the last letter... and maybe a few in the middle too. 🙃

I voted other. It’s French, so I’m missing the option that reads "Soo vid". The second word should be ‘short’, not long. So ‘vid’ as in ‘video’, not ‘veeeed’

I think Meathead dated a girl named Sue Veed once.... or so he said in a comment years ago if I recall correctly.

          found it: https://pitmaster.amazingribs.com/fo...09-need-advice

How I pronounce it would probably violate some pit guidelines so.... i’ll Pass.

I think it is more important to focus on what Sous Vide actually means. For this reason, I am going to start calling it "under vacuum".

I don't know why, but it is always annoying to me when people say, "I am going to Sous Vide a steak or I Sous Vide'd a steak"

Instead of, "I am going to cook a steak Sous Vide."

Reheat? That's what stew, chili, fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, Philly cheesesteak sammies, etc. are for. (And yes, I cook extra just so we can followup with those.)
