Looking for inexpensive all around kitchen knife

Old school here boys, Wiltshire out of England or Zwilling/Henckels out of Germany for the fancy stuff.
Day to day hacking, I don't even know. The blades aren't even marked. Chinese I imagine.

If I only had 1 knife - it would be a good 7 or 8 inch chef knife.

Not sure of your price range, but I'd buy the best quality steel for whatever your budget.

I am very impressed with this inexpensive knife. I have several. They come sharp, stay sharp, and are easy to re-sharpen.
