Anyone else find sharpening relaxing?

i hate it. That’s why I bought a machine. 2 actually. 30 seconds and I’m done. One for my wustoffs and one for all my others.

My Mac knifes are at 15° Wustoff at 14° some one pointed out to me that it was pretty close and I don’t need two. Likely true but... like MCS.

My Shun is at 16° well, 15° now.

I hadn't really thought about it, but I do find it relaxing. Unless I spend too much time reading wood working blogs and start worrying about micro-bevels. Mostly I sharpen my pocket knives and tools. I have to wait on most of the kitchen knives until SWMBO is out of town...she gets a bit protective of those. We have a Henkels sharpener (which most of the knives are) in the kitchen to touch them up. However I've never been very good with a steel...
