    First cook in the 10qt Instant Pot

    I cooked unsoaked chick peas to make hummus. I used the pot-in-pot (PIP) method. They seem to have come out great. 55 mins high pressure followed by full natural release. The only thing I will do differently next time it's add a bit more water to the inner pot. I think PIP is going to be my friend for making the smaller sized recipes I used with my 6qt.

    Unless I am missing something, why not just use the 6 qt IP to begin with?

      It's going to the vacation home so I have to learn to use the 10qt for everything here at home.

      Gotcha! Thanks for getting me up to speed. I figured there was an ulterior motive behind the experiment.

      I just might have to put the 10 quart on my Santa list for next year. We go thru yogurt like it's candy and this thing could easily make a gallon at a time.
