So I picked up a white thermopen mk4 during the sale. Used it a couple of times and it seamed slower then my $30 cooper thermometer. I set up a cup with ice water and had some water boiling on the stove. Went back and forth between the both of them making sure I was sturring the thermometer will testing. It took on average 6.4 seconds for the thermopen to reach 211/212-33/34. Do I have a broken thermopen?

It might have a problem. I'd give them a call on Tuesday and see what they suggest. FYI, their customer service is beyond great ... they won't just let you down.
