I recently backed this on Indigogo and am looking forward to getting it and trying it out. If anyone else is interested here is the link. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/m...d-technology#/
I will comment again on this once i get a chance to do some side by side testing with my current dual probe thermometer.
Cookers:

Bradley 6-rack digital
Thermal bath for sous vide, pressure cooker, etc.
Time & Temp:
iGrill2 & iGrill wireless thermometers used with iPhone 5
Drawer full of various Maverick models

I've been following the effort and agree it looks amazing. However, it is really, really, late. When you get yours, I'd love a quick review, as if it can do what they say, I'm happy to buy.
Never heard of it before but I just looked at their campaign page. Is it just me or does this thing have scam written all over it? Just reading the comments and the answers provided by the company raised a huge red flag for me. Has anyone actually received one yet, even a beta model?

As a tech journalist, I follow plenty of these, and, so far at least, it doesn't look like a scam. "Just" some inventors who had a great idea, got lots of money via crowd sourcing, and now have discovered it is really, really, hard. However, the updates from many of these companies sound the same. Chronically upbeat, but sweeping massive issues and delays under the rug. I with there was more straight shooting, but I guess the rosy outlook goes with the territory. If only they would say something believable, like "OMG, the plastic melted, we need to find a new material", or "Who knew that there were regulations on thermometers?" or whatever the issue was, instead of "gosh, our prototypes are doing really well and we continue working towards volume production."
Well with close to 4 million from investors when it does hit the street and get wrung out by the investors its should be great. That will be my entry point to perfectly cooked meat for sure.
Grills: 22" Weber (wood handles) (another Weber on the way), Lodge Sportsman "hibachi" Smoker: None yet, part of why I joined Thermometer: 10+ yr old Taylor digital thermometer with remote Sous Vide: Anovo Imersion Circulator (1st gen) Coffee Roaster: Hot Top Coffee Roaster Adult Beverages: Fighting Cock Bourbon, Leinny Shandy, Troegs Mad Elf
I backed it (as did other people here), but I was conservative - $1 so I could read all the backer only updates (I was burned by a tech scam and I blame myself for backing that one, at least I could chargeback). It looks promising, I'm just waiting until it ships and is reviewed before I fully commit.
Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. I have a 48" Lang Deluxe smoker, Rec-Tec pellet smoker,1 Weber Genesis 330, 1 Weber Performer (blue), 2 Weber kettles (1 black and 1 Copper), 1 26" Weber kettle, a WSM, 8 Maverick Redi Chek thermometers, a PartyQ, 2 SnS, Grill Grates, Cast Iron grates, 1 ThermoPop (orange) and 2 ThermoPens (pink and orange) and planning on adding more cooking accessories. Now I have an Anova sous vide, the Dragon blower and 2 Chef alarms from Thermoworks.
Yes, WiFi. And if you buy the $169 level with 4 probes, the storage box is also a charger and a WiFi bridge to extend your range. Plus you can connect into your home's WiFi, much easier than having to directly connect your phone or tablet. Plus some cloud apps.
The thermometers themselves are Bluetooth and can be monitored by your phone/tablet when in range. You also would need the Meater Block to connect them to WiFi and monitor them elsewhere.
