I am in the mood to upgrade my temp stuff. I have a cheap knock off version of the maverick. Looking for something that will talk to my PC and chart the cook. I have found Bluetooth junk for $30 to $140. If I am gonna spend $150+, I want something that will connect to my network and chart the cook. Any suggestions?

I've heard in the rumor mill ThermoWorks is coming out with a wireless device. However, I'm clueless if this will have PC compatibility and graphing/charting like you're looking for...but knowing T-works, I'd say the odds are good. The real trouble is that this is all I know, I don't have a clue about release date.

rat88 ... I have no need for wi-fi. My cookers are close enough that Bluetooth works just fine for me. I use the Maverick ET-735, 4 probe thermometer and all is good. I don't need graphing & charting. I just need to know what temperature my food is cooking at and what the internal temperature of my food is... Over and out!!!

If you google wifi bbq thermometers, a number of different thermometers come up. I bought the BBQ Guru CyberQ a while back while on sale. I am fairly happy with it, and it does work well with my pc, but not with my phone. However, I did d/l an android app called "Pit Pal". I did splurge for the deluxe version. I think it was $2, but once I connected the CyberQ to the pc, the app connected to the pc and I can monitor a cook from anywhere around the house using my android phone. It does generate a graph too.
Some devices allow you to monitor temps from anywhere you have wifi available. There is a Kickstareter campaign about to ship for a wireless thermometer that is bluetooth, but comes with a base station that converts the signal to wifi. It's called Meater and will be available with one to four probes. It looks very nice. {i}Each probe[/i] monitors both meat and pit temps and there are no wires.
