    I put mine in a wool sock. Then place that on the lid. The sock insulates it from the cold and the heat. it works really well. Even in those below zero cooks.

    Well it's like this if it's to cold for the Mav it's to cold for me

    Mavs dont care much for sub zero. I have Mavs with magnets on the back that stick right on the cooker for cold day cooks to keep them warm. Those Mavs are not where I am : (

    Seems like overkill when this thing is attached to a cooker full of hot coals right? At least it's warm enough to stay connected now.
