    Chicken leg hanger?

Anyone use one of these? I have seen them before and am wondering if they are worthwhile.

Yes, I have one and love it! They hold full wings as well.

My youngest daughter bought me one for either Father's Day or my birthday a couple of years ago.... sadly it sits on a shelf in the garage with all the other grill paraphernalia, and I haven't yet used it. She would be thrilled to see me do so though, and since she gets married and leaves in 27 days, I better do it soon...

I just haven't used it, as I am more often than not cooking either sectioned wings, or whole or half chickens. Been a long time since I bought a mess 'o drumsticks...

For those of you who have used this, does it work best over direct heat, or indirect? Do I want to use it on the Genesis, or the Performer?

jfmorris , my 2 pennies' worth: Performer with SnS; indirect; high heat. Take to 185° internal. Skin is perfect by then.

Thanks Kathryn - the advantage of this rack too is that I can have some other chicken spread out on the rest of the grate. Gotta give it a go soon as I can get some chicken...

I had one for a while. It was pretty poorly designed and nearly impossible to clean well. I usually do leg quarters rather than drums anyway so I'm not interested in another one even if it's well designed.

I'll be honest and mention I don't use it every time I do wings or legs. Where they are helpful is to organize and take advantage of upward space when grate space square footage is limited due to a large cook. fzxdoc's pic helps illustrate this.

Oh, man here we go again. MCS rears it's ugly head.

yeah, this is why ive pretty much banned myself from buying stuff like this. Looks like it works great but i dont want it sitting there doing nothing
