Having grill grates for the Hasty-Bake is truly awesome .... but they really require me to adjust my game. The Hasty-Bake heats up at the grate slower, by far, than it did with open stainless steel grates. But once hot, it maintains that heat much, much better ..... I am now completely relearning how to cook on the Hasty-Bake.
Seen a good way to use the grill grates on instagram. Place them upside down on a screaming hot chimney of coals then you can do a perfect sear for steaks. (No grill marks)
