    new to pizza making....anyone see why this isn't a good buy? or do I need to spend a little more on the baking steel website?

    If you are only going to make pizza/bread it will be good.

    If if you plan on grilling/griddling smashburgers etc, you need one with a groove to catch grease or it will drip off, touch your heat source, and ignite across the whole surface.

    Baking steel makes a griddle with a groove and others may also.
