Spinaker Cleaned this venerable old girl up today. I know it was my grandmothers at some point. Beyond that on the bottom it simply has stamped into it "10 inch skillet made in USA". There is the number 8 on the neck of the handle also. Any idea the make? It’s been my go to pan in the camper for a while now.

^I leave Smokey's posts in, most times^. I want him to feel included, since th time here can take away from his preferred activities.
He got boutta 10th of a dbl cheeburger, lil pieces, earlier, so he all on me like a cheap suit!

Hey, thanks fer makin me haveta git up, displace Smokey, an put me outta reach of my wee dram of Buffalo Trace, first I been able to acquire in a month. Preciate it lol!
Jus looked though ~100 I have hangin, behind me...stubby handle made me think Griswold, at first, but th hole's all wrong....
Almost every pan I have, from 1800's to present, have a teardop hole, pointed t'wards th pan. Only oblongish hole one I found, haveta guess it 's an older Lodge...if not , BSR be my 2nd place winner! Brain is tired, not pullin up data...
Too dang tired to go git out my reference books, but I betcha Spinaker will set th record straight.
I merely dabble in CI, with a hunnert or so pieces. He's th Real McCoy!
Here's another useful source LINK ; I'll let ya peruse it,yerself, cause me an kitty are gonna go curl all up together, and git ready fer a smoker day...
I'll be back round O Dark thirty, mebbe a freckle past, to see if Spin has spoken, otherwise I know of another, really thorough, comprehensive site to check, but tomorrow's another day. Today, actually lolLast edited by Mr. Bones; May 30, 2020, 11:42 PM.

Can't help on the ID. But love my G-mas old cast iron. I keep 2 in the house and the 12 inch in the travel trailer with the camp chef.

Right On, amigo! I regularly roll with my Gma's skillet, a smooth as buttah Piqua Ware...same one I learned to cook in, mid-'60's. It was already very old, when I was borned; fer reference sakes, they went outta bidness in 1935...
Given to my Ma as a weddin present, late '50's, same one she learned to cook in...cont'dLast edited by Mr. Bones; May 31, 2020, 06:21 AM.

Yep, she’s an old Wagner.
If it has a mark of "Made in USA" it is a pan cast after 1960. Many of these pans were made for stove companies, by Wagner, under private label. Many of the old cast iron companies were doing this in an effort to stay afloat. Unfortunately, many didn’t make it or they were bought out.
Nice classic piece of iron.

One of my primary jobs as a boychile was to provide squirrels fer th table. Ol man'd gimme mebbe 5 .22 shells, an ya had best come back with 5 squirrels (rabbits was also accepted), or th remainin, Unspent .22 rounds. Wastin a round meant fer a Serious arse-whippin. Could be why I am a recoverin Sniper
Alla dat aside, we often ate squirrel every day, squirrel biscuits an gravy, or in scrambled eggs, etc. Reckon ya can imagine th menu,
Tree Rat! It's What's Fer Dinner
