There is some very nice stuff on there. Prices aren't out of control.

Ahhhh, yes. I see these online auctions fairly often. This is a great collection for sale. Keep in mind that there are 7 days left and these pieces will shoot up in price, for the most part. Sometimes a few fall through the cracks and you can get a deal.

One thing to look for, make sure the pans are not listed as "spinners" or "warped" These types of pans are really not useable on a cook top. However, you can usually use them over an open fire. Also Keep in mind that a Small-block logo Griswold is not the same as a large-block. Some sellers will try to pass them off as such. When the Big Block Griswolds are much more collectable and valuable.

Any online auction is, of course, buyer beware. I generally like to buy in person, at estate sales because you can see what you are getting. I have bought a few from these auctions in the past, and I have not been burned yet, most people in the collecting biz are pretty good folks. That being said, buyer beware.

I did bid on that Big Block Logo #12 Griswold. So we will see where that goes. It could easily go for $300 plus.

          Thank you for posting!

Did you see there is a 20% internet premium on each item? I was bidding on a dutch oven until I saw that.

And there you go! These things can be too good to be true.

Not to mention shipping & handling on top of the premium...unless you make the trek to pick it up in person.
